About KiloGym

Hi, I’m Ronan. Seasoned weightlifter. Committed coach and owner of KiloGym.

​

We’re all fully rounded human beings. (Sometimes more round than we’d like – but that’s fixable.)

​

Take me, for instance. Yes, I’m a competitive powerlifter and weightlifter, with a British Championships silver medal under my belt. And before that, a track record in competitive shot put.

​

But I also have a musical background, which led me into many years of touring and hard partying. 

​

Inevitably, my health and fitness suffered. It took time and hard effort to restore them.

​One positive result is my natural empathy with anyone who’s facing an uphill battle to turn their health around.​ Not to mention the pressures of work, family, bills. All the other priorities that can compromise your training goals.

​

In short, I get it. â€‹ I understand the challenges you’re up against. I also know a few tried and tested ways to overcome them.

​

With me, you get someone who’s been around the block and doesn’t take himself too seriously. But also: a committed coach, who’s very serious indeed about the benefits of weightlifting.
